Mr. Avery has over 20 years of experience as a healthcare executive, serving as auditor, consultant, Administrator, and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Avery has served as the CFO for a major teaching hospital in Texas, and the Executive Director of a leading New Jersey Medical School. He has worked at government, for-profit, and not-for-profit health care providers, as well as at a Big 6 organization.
He has been certified by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and is a past member of the National Advisory Board for the AAPC. He is a frequent speaker at local, regional, and national forums. Mr. Avery has a B.S. from Campbell University, an M.A. in Economics from the University of New Mexico, and a Juris Doctor from Texas Wesleyan University. Mr. Avery is also a 14 year veteran of the U.S. Military, serving both as a member of 5th Special Forces Group and as a Medical Service Corps officer.

Mr. Scotece is a hands-on technologist and innovator with over 23 years experience working in research and development, and entrepreneurial endeavors. Mr. Scotece was a principal member of the research and development team for Initiate Systems (acquired in 2010 by IBM) and was awarded their Scotty Award for Technical Innovation. Performing as a System Architect, he was granted a patent related to hierarchy-based user interface technology. Mr. Scotece was directly involved in establishing Initiate Systems as a technology leader in master data management (MDM) utilizing data linking and analytic algorithms.
Mr. Scotece previously functioned as the Corporate Network Administrator for Choice Hotels International, the second largest hotel franchise company in the world. He was awarded Choice’s Extraordinary Performer award for his accomplishments; he led the transformation of various systems away from mainframes to GUI based multi-tiered applications and spearheaded the development of Choice's internal web technology. Mr. Scotece was also a co-founder of Phoenix Computer Specialist which specialized in personal computer consulting, programming and network services.
Mr. Scotece joined AppRev in 2007 as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and is directly responsible for creating AppRev’s patent pending technology. Mr. Scotece is a Certified Network Engineer and holds a Bachelor’s Degree with honors in Computer Information Systems.

Ms. Kaliban brings over 20 years of healthcare information technology experience to her Sales and Marketing leadership position at AppRev. She has spent much of her career at IDX Systems Corporation and GE Healthcare, where she performed in varying roles. Rhonda has worked with Patient and Financial Management, Lab, Radiology, Electronic Medical Record and Business Intelligence systems, in hospitals, academic medical groups, and IDNs. Her roles include Installation Consultant, Project Manager, Client Service Executive, Account Manager, and Sales Executive.
Rhonda has a Bachelor of Arts from Middlebury College and an MBA from Tulane University. Rhonda joined AppRev in 2009, as Director of Business Development. In her current role as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, she leads Business Development, Marketing, Reference Site, Account Management, and Strategic Partnership programs.

Mr. Bross has over 26 years of hospital financial and operations leadership experience. Mr. Bross has served in financial leadership roles in both non-profit and for-profit, investor-owned hospitals, including 17 years as a hospital CFO. During his health care career, he has served hospitals in other capacities including interim CEO and corporate compliance officer. Prior to joining AppRev, Mr. Bross served as the Chief Operating Officer for a mid-sized community health system where he had responsibility for hospital, home health and overall system operations. Mr. Bross also served as founder and chief executive of an employer-owned preferred provider organization network. He is a subject matter expert in payer contracting, provider network development and employee health management.
Mr. Bross’ work on a hospital balanced dashboard benchmarking tool for improvement of quality, customer satisfaction and financial performance was recognized by the national Health Care Compliance Association and the federal Office of Inspector General for DHHS. He has been a featured speaker at national and regional conferences sponsored by Thomson Reuters, HCCA and HFMA.
Mr. Bross presently serves on local and regional business and health-related boards, including the Southern Wesleyan University Business Academic Advisory Board. He currently serves on the Board of Hospice of Rutherford County and as the Board Chair of Pangea Internet, a non-profit fiber optic broadband provider serving government, education and health care organizations. Mr. Bross also serves as the Board Treasurer for Crescent Health Solutions, a regional PPO and Health Management Services organization in Western North Carolina.
Mr. Bross holds a B.A. Degree from Southern Wesleyan University, Central, South Carolina, including majors in Accounting, Business Administration and Psychology. He also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Citadel, Charleston, South Carolina. He is a past president of the Alumni Association at Southern Wesleyan University.

Mr. Brignoni has been in the HIM arena for over 20 years, and has extensive experience in Coding, Data Quality, Chart Completion and Information Release. He has spent much of his career at Florida Hospital, managing HIM and Coding teams, and Chairing the Documentation Committee, providing education to physicians and coders regarding documentation and coding impact on reimbursement. He also worked with Care Communication as a consultant, performing quality audits, documentation reviews, training and coding management.
Mr. Brignoni joined AppRev in 2009 as Senior Charge Analyst for the Charge Capture Analytics product line. As Director of Clinical Analytics at AppRev, Mr. Brignoni's focus is on Charge Capture and ICD-10 solutions.
Mr. Brignoni has a degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Chemistry and Biology from University of Central Florida. He holds a CCS and is a member of AHIMA.

Mr. Carnes has focused his career working in healthcare finance, specializing on financial forecasting. Prior to joining AppRev, Mr. Carnes was a budget analyst at Robert Wood Johnson Medical group in New Jersey, where he had responsibility for department budgets and financial reporting.
Mr. Carnes joined AppRev in 2006 as a Financial Analyst, working with the founding partners to build our Pricing Analytics solution. As the Director of Financial Analytics, Mr. Carnes serves as a subject matter expert in pricing analytics, working with our development and service delivery teams.
Mr. Carnes holds a Bachelor’s Degree from West Virginia University, majoring in Economics with minors in Accounting and Communication.

Mr. Tarte has 30 years experience providing consultancy services to the health care industry. He has twice served as the acting CIO of major academic medical centers in Boston and Baltimore. Mr. Tarte spent 17 years of service with Big 6 consulting firms where he served as a partner.
Mr. Tarte has subject matter expertise in the areas of revenue cycle management, IT strategic planning, and achievement of business strategy through the utilization of technology enablers. Prior responsibilities have included major project initiatives with health care providers throughout the United States and five foreign countries. He is a frequent speaker at local, regional, and national forums. Mr. Tarte has had the distinction of being selected by CIO Magazine’s for their Top 100 CIO list. He has authored a numerous articles related to information technology, and co-authored Information Technology for Integrated Health Systems, John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
Mr. Tarte sits on various Boards and Committees of a number of community organizations; including currently serving as the mayor of a northern suburb of Charlotte. Mr. Tarte holds a degree in Economics from the College of Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Illinois.
